Description

The First Place Top is a CE-approved protective base layer for riders who want armor integrated into something that wears like athletic clothing. The fabric is 58% nylon, 29% polyester and 13% spandex with a micro-perforated weave for thermal regulation, and CE Level 1 armor covers the back, shoulders and elbows. Wind and Throttle built it with a curve-friendly pattern that follows the body without restricting movement, finished with thumb loops to keep the sleeves from riding up, two front pockets and a YKK zipper. The most important caveat to know upfront: it holds a CE Class C rating, which means it delivers impact protection only and carries no abrasion resistance. It is designed to be worn under a proper riding jacket, not as a standalone outer layer.
